VIOLUX QUANTUM series bulbs are manufactured using the latest DOB HE (Driver On Board, High Efficiency) technology. This technical solution consists in placing the LED driver directly on the aluminium substrate together with the LEDs, and the electrolytic capacitor (an element sensitive to overheating) is placed on the back of the LED board.

VIOLUX LED bulbs use a non-linear IC driver, which ensures stable luminous flux at supply voltage fluctuations of 175-265V and extends the life of the LED chips.

By placing the driver chip on the board with the LEDs, we were able to add a function to control the overheating of the LED chips and reduce the cost of the bulb.

The size of the bulb body plays a crucial role in the cooling of all its elements and affects their lifetime.

The impact of high temperatures on the capacitor can significantly reduce its life, so QUANTUM bulbs use capacitors with an extended temperature range of 130C˚!

QUANTUM bulbs use LEDs with a lifetime in excess of 30,000 hours. By comparison, bulbs of the same design from other manufacturers can reach 25,000 hours.

The design of the VIOLUX QUANTUM bulb ensures correct operation in conjunction with the backlit switches.

The placement of the electrolytic capacitor on the back of the circuit board, using DOB HE technology, makes it possible to increase its life by reducing the effects of high temperatures.
